Javier Arcenillas has been nominated as the winner of 1000for1’s first International Photography Competition about India! Congratulations to him!
We’ve received entries from 26 different countries and the level was so high our jury had a difficult time in choosing the winner. Javier’s photograph “Girls from Noapara” ultimately won the favour of the jury and was selected as the winning entry of our International Photography Competition:

The winner had to choose his prize between the latest Nikon and Canon models: watch the above video to discover what was Javier’s choice! The interviews with him turns into an enlightening conversation about photography and how to tell visual stories. The video is in Spanish, turn on captions for English subtitles.
We would also like to point out the following three honourable mentions that battled for the first price until the very last moment. Excellent pictures – all of them – Congratulations to all. I personally found Ferrero’s picture the most original
Congratulation to the winners. The pictures of the winner and of the second classified look very similar. The big difference is that the biker was not posing like the girl seems to be doing … this, according to me gives more value to the Ferrero’s photo
